Brighton based photographer Patrick Holderness captures friendship perfectly. Carefree, easy and fun. With the sun shining, an outdoor space and people to share time with sums up everything that makes my heart thump with happiness. I was watching on TED the other day how people who surround themselves within a community, friendship and family are guaranteed a longer, healthier and happier life. 

I have been a lousy friend over the last 12months and looking at Patrick's photos it reminds me I need to hop on a train or bike and visit those who I adore and love. Life gets so busy sometimes and sacraficing those dear to us happens so easily. Well my heart is saying Ms Talbot sort it out... If I am close to you and you're reading this post I want to say - I MISS YOU!!!

Home Alone

What do three girls do when they are on Christmas break and home alone? 

They let their imaginations run wild by dressing up and being silly. The result is breathtaking. The photographs are by the very talented 15-year-old Brit photographer Emillie Ferris who declares we inspire her... Well I'm glad we can help Emillie if it means she takes photos like this

I love these photos and I have fallen in love with the work of talented Belgium photographer Sophie Van der Perre. I can't help but feel a little envious of Sophie's life in Amsterdam and all of her gorgeous looking friends. Sophie has a real knack in capturing the heart of each person in her images. FAMILY

I came across this stunning new book FAMILY at my local bookstore, Waterstone's, the other day. I instantly thought how some of you would sacrafice a weeks worth of coffee in exchange for this beautifully shot book.










I love Familys' celebration for freindship and how for some their strong bonds develop into becoming a family unit. For many years, Lauren Dukoff has been photographing close friend and musician Devendra Banhart and an extended, loose-knit international family of artists who share inspiration variously from folk, Tropicalia, and each other, as well as a range of other musical influences. FAMILY is a collection of Dukoff's striking portraits and candid images of Banhart, Joanna Newsom, Bat for Lashes, Feathers, Espers, Vetiver, Bert Jansch, Vashti Bunyan, and many others individually and together, in performance and more private spaces.
